Preformed Windings Announce Team Expansion

Due to the continued growth of the global customer base Preformed Windings have expanded their team. By adding two new team members, Preformed Windings ensures that all of our customers experience our ethos of high quality, speed and service.

The Business Improvement Leader role & the Production Manager role will make sure that Preformed Windings customers are fully supported through each stage of the purchasing, installation and aftercare process.

Stuart Whitfield – Business Improvement Leader

Stuart has 33 years’ experience in the electro / mechanical industry and has spent many years winding AC/DC machines ranging from low voltage fractional HP motors machines, through to large high voltage 60 MW turbo generators.

Throughout his time in the rewind and repair industry Stuart gained a lot of experience in the coil manufacturing business. Stuart has joined us from Houghton International where he held the position of Technical Account Manager for 12 years. This role involved supporting customers, worldwide, with all types of coil requirements ranging from low voltage through to 13.8KV.

His knowledge in the repair and coil industry means that he is focused on ensuring that we understand our customer’s requirements and that our customers receive the highest quality product and great customer service and support at all times.

Les Guthrie – Production Manager 

Les has 46 years of experience in electrical engineering. He is a veteran in this field with an abundance of experience in the rewind and repair industry.  His expertise does not stop there as he has set up and run multiple coil shops in his time.  Hence, he is the perfect candidate to ensure operational excellence is achieved and that our customers reap the benefits.

Les joins us from Sulzer. And, is the ideal person to support our ethos of high quality, speed and service.
